                   AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF A
                   PORTION OF THE TRAFFIC CONTROL DIVISION'S
                   THREE-STORY BRICK SHOP LOCATED AT 1001
                   TWELFTH STREET, TRACT 3, TO THE TENNESSEE
                   DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR A
                   CONSIDERATION OF ONE HUNDRED FORTY-SEVEN
                   THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED AND NO/100 DOLLARS
                   ($147,500.00) AND AUTHORIZING A LOAN IN THE
                   AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED FORTY-SEVEN THOUSAND,
                   FIVE HUNDRED AND NO/100 DOLLARS
                   ($147,500.00) TO THE PUBLIC WORKS CAPITAL
                   PROJECT ACCOUNT FROM THE GENERAL FUND WITH
                   SAID LOAN TO BE REIMBURSED BY THE ABOVE-
                   REFERENCED SALE.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE:
       	    	 SECTION 1.  That there be and is hereby authorized the
       sale of a portion of the Traffic Control Division's three-story
       brick shop at 1001 Twelfth Street, Tract 3, in connection with
       Federal Project BRM-4417(1), State Project 33957-2798-94, 
Widening
       of Central Avenue Bridge, for a consideration of $147,500.00.
       	    	 SECTION 2.  That there be and is hereby authorized a
       loan in the amount of $147,500.00 to the Public Works Capital
       Project Account from the General Fund, with said loan to be
       reimbursed by the above-referenced sale.
       	    	 SECTION 3.  This Ordinance shall be effective two (2)
       weeks from and after its passage as provided by law.
